In 1925, Mr Adelino Rafael Serralheiro decided to found his first shoe factory. The only machinery he had was an industrial sewing machine, and the remaining manufacturing processes were manual. The factory had only 2-3 people and a pair of shoes took about a day and a half to be produced.
